Wayanad (thestates.news)| AICC General Secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the Union Government is deliberately obstructing discussions in the Parliament to evade scrutiny. Talking to news persons at Kalpetta, after attending the DISHA meeting here, She said “the ruling party is actively disrupting the democratic process in the Parliament, and this action is very sad for us (MPs) to see.
Priyanka also alleged that the ruling governments’ policy is to sabotage the democratic process, the notion usually used to be that the opposition was accused of sabotaging parliament process. This phenomenon is a new type from the side of the government and I have seen in the last few sessions of Parliament.
She also alleged that they even disrupted the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in various ways, when the opposition came to protest against the government. Earlier, the Congress leader attended various functions including the distribution of a scholarship named “Viyarpu” to the children of the landslide survivors at Kalpetta. (UNI)
