Their participation and performance at the 15th Manipur International Polo Tournament in Imphal has not only elevated the state’s reputation but also showcased the rising talent emerging from its remote regions. Recognising this milestone, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai warmly welcomed the team at his Raipur residence and praised their exceptional accomplishment.
Extending heartiest congratulations, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this achievement is a matter of immense pride for the entire state. He encouraged the players to continue advancing with the same passion and perseverance. Shri Sai added that tribal youth in Chhattisgarh possess remarkable sporting talent, and with government support, equestrian sports and polo have gained renewed direction and strength in the state.
Chhattisgarh carved its name in history by participating for the first time in the 15th Manipur International Polo Tournament, held in Imphal from November 22 to 29, 2025. This occasion was especially significant as, for the first time in the country’s history, an Indian state was invited to represent India at an international polo tournament.
