Chhattisgarh emerging as best state for investment, says Chhattisgarh Commerce and Industry Minister

CG Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan attends ‘Udyog Samagam’ in New Delhi

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chhattisgarh Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan today participated in the ‘Udyog Samagam’ conference held in New Delhi. The conference was chaired by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and was attended by industry ministers and representatives from all states. The conference saw participation from industrialists, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the country, who discussed major issues related to trade, industry, and economic development in detail.
Addressing the conference, Dewangan highlighted the vast investment potential in Chhattisgarh and the steps taken by the state government to promote business activities. The minister shed light on the government’s efforts towards industrial development and job creation in the state. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to attracting investors through better policies and infrastructure development.
Dewangan mentioned that the state government is providing several special schemes and facilities to encourage industries, which will not only boost the state’s economic development but also create new employment opportunities for local youth.
He emphasized that Chhattisgarh is emerging as a premier location for investment. The state is a major player in mineral production and offers a conducive environment for establishing industries. A new strategy has been devised to provide all necessary facilities for new industries, he added. Additionally, financial incentives and exemptions are being offered to promote investment and encourage industries in the state, he stated.
He also noted that under the leadership of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Single Window System 2.0 has been launched to ensure that entrepreneurs starting new industries do not face any difficulties. Furthermore, the state’s new industrial policy will be implemented from November 1, 2024. This new policy is being developed under the guidance of the Chief Minister, keeping in mind the convenience of entrepreneurs.
During the conference, representatives from the industry sector showed a keen interest in investing in Chhattisgarh and considered the future investment opportunities in the state.
Secretary of the Industry Department Secretary Ankit Anand, Investment Commissioner Ritu Sen and Executive Director of CSIDC Alok Trivedi attended the conference.
