Raipur, (Thestates.news) Chhattisgarh government has decided to cut the budget of the current fiscal by 30 percent in the wake of the decrease in revenue receipts from the lockdown.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department has issued a circular to this effect to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Chairman Revenue Board Bilaspur and all the Heads of the Department, according to which the Departments will now be able to spend only 70 percent of the budget released. Also, the budget allocated to the departments for the financial year 2020-21 has been revised to the pre-determined limit of spending in four quarters of the year.
