Chhattisgarh Govt Committed to Safety, Respect and Empowerment of Women: CM Vishnudeo Sai

On Raksha Bandhan, CM flags off ‘Jashpur Express’; Gifts e-rickshaws to 12 Bihan Didis

Raipur (thestates.news) | On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai flagged off the ‘Jashpur Express’ from his native village Bagiya in Jashpur district and gifted e-rickshaws to 12 women associated with the Bihan scheme as a special Rakhi gift. CM Sai also took a ride in one of the e-rickshaws, operated by Self-Help Group member Smt. Gilsonika Pande, within the Bagiya residence premises.

CM Sai said the e-rickshaws are not only eco-friendly but also have low operating costs. “These will enable women to participate in local transport services, become self-reliant, and meet their family needs more effectively,” he said, extending Raksha Bandhan greetings and reaffirming that his government is fully committed to the safety and support of all sisters in Chhattisgarh. “This e-rickshaw distribution is aimed at empowering and making Self-Help Group women self-sufficient,” he added.
