Ghaziabad,(thestates.news) |Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh police clashed on Tuesday over the custody of Zee News Anchor Rohit Ranjan, accused of spreading fake news about Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. The scuffle between the police ended with UP Police winning the tiff taking Rohit Ranjan into custody. The Congress party had filed a report against Zee News Anchor Ranjan for playing a fake video of Rahul Gandhi. Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrived to arrest Ranjan at his house in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The anchor had appealed to the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh and the local administration for help. Ranjan has also tagged this tweet to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Ghaziabad SSP and ADG Zone Lucknow. After this UP Police became active and immediately reached the spot. After a scuffle between Chhattisgarh and UP Police to arrest Rohit, UP Police took Rohit into custody. However, Zee News withdrew the content and issued a public apology. (HS):
