Raipur, ( thestates.news) On the occasion of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, Chief Minister inaugurated ‘Gokuldham Gothan’- the first cowshed to be built with public participation in Kandel village. Meanwhile, Chief Minister fed grass to cows and inspected the cowshed. Chief Minister praised the efforts of people of the village. Cowsheds to be built under Suraaji Gaon Yojana will be developed on 4 acre area and cowshed committee will be constituted for its maintenance. For construction of ‘Gokuldham Gothan’, people of the village had pooled in Rs 5 lakh, and they also participated in construction of boundary wall construction, ground-leveling and cleaning work for the cowshed.
Built with limited funds, this cowshed is well-equipped and has proper drinking water facility, pipeline, shade and other facilities. Two biogas plants have also been established, through which gas is supplied to shepherd families. Here, Livestock Development Department had also put up an exhibition of cattle born through artificial insemination.
