states. news)Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel arrived at Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru Smriti Medical College Raipur this morning and took the second dose of
vaccine against COVID-19. After getting the vaccine, he inquired from the
doctors about the precautions to be taken after the vaccination. On this occasion,
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has appealed people of the state to get vaccinated
when their turn comes, to protect themselves from COVID-19 infection. Those who
have received the first dose of the vaccine, they should get the second dose in
the prescribed time, because the vaccine is an effective way to prevent
COVID-19 infection. Even after getting vaccinated, everyone should follow
COVID-19 appropriate behavior i.e. wear mask, clean hands time to time and
maintain physical distance, avoid overcrowding. Chief Minister said that
Chhattisgarh has succeeded to a great extent in controlling the second wave of
Corona through collective and consistent efforts and hard work of all.
Infection rates have currently declined to 5 percent. Lockdown rules have been
relaxed to some extent for people’s convenience but everyone should continue to
take precautions.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was vaccinated by Mrs. Dipeshwari Chandrakar. On this
occasion, Chairman of Housing Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja and Parliamentary
Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Director of Medical Education Department, Dr. R.
K. Singh, Collector Dr. S. Bharatidasan, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr.
Ajay Yadav, Dr. Vishnu Dutt, Dean of Raipur Medical College, Dr. Bhimrao
Ambedkar Hospital Superintendent Dr. Vineet Jain and Chief Medical and Health
Officer Dr. Meera Baghel, Staff Nurse Ms. Kavita Nirala were present.
