Raipur, (#the states.news) Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has written letter to the Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Mr. PR Ramchandra Menon and has requested him to notify required number of fast track courts in all the districts for immediate hearing of sexual crime related cases. In his letter to Mr. Menon, Chief Minister has assured that State Government would extend the required support for fast track courts.
Chief Minister has stated in the letter that sexual crimes against women and children in the country is a matter of grave concern. Although enough number of laws have been made for prevention of the aforementioned, but despite that there has been hardly any decline in the number of such crimes. Another big issue is the delayyed justice in such cases. In cases of sexual offenses against women and children in the state courts, there is a need for prompt consideration and it is our responsibility that the victims of sexual offenses get speedy justice and the culprits should be punished with extreme punishment at the earliest.
Mr. Baghel has requested in the letter that the required number of fast track courts should be notified in all the districts of the state for hearing of the cases related to sexual offenses, wherein hearing of such cases is held within the time-limit (as prescribed ) and on day to day basis. The state government has agreed to extend the necessary cooperation for this. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has requested Justice Mr. Menon to issue necessary instructions in this matter.
