Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday flagged off the Grand Satnam Sadbhav Padyatra from the Satnam Bhavan premises at Mowa in Raipur, formally launching the foot march towards the sacred Girodpuri Dham after performing traditional rituals.
Chief Minister offered prayers at the holy Jaitkham and paid homage to Guru Ghasidas Baba, seeking peace, prosperity and well-being for the people of the state.
Interacting with devotees and members of the community participating in the padyatra, Shri Sai said the message of Guru Ghasidas Baba — “Mankhe-Mankhe Ek Saman,” meaning all human beings are equal— continues to guide society. He expressed confidence that the march would further strengthen social harmony, unity and brotherhood.
Chief Minister added that the state government remains committed to the holistic development of society and has constituted a special authority to promote social welfare initiatives. He also informed that a large fair will be organised following the padyatra.
Cabinet Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb said the padyatra has been organised to promote social harmony, human welfare and unity. He urged people to move beyond discrimination and uphold the spirit of national unity. He expressed hope that the foot march will carry the teachings of Guru Ghasidas Baba to every household.
Religious leader Shri Guru Baldas Saheb, MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation Chairperson Sushri Mona Sen, Chhattisgarh Rajakkar Development Board Chairman Shri Prahlad Rajak, District Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agrawal, representatives of the community along with members of various social organisations were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Grand Satnam Sadbhav Padyatra to be held from February 18 to 22, 2026, will proceed from Raipur to Girodpuri Dham with the objective of spreading the message of social harmony, mutual brotherhood and goodwill. Various social, cultural and religious programmes are also planned during the Girodpuri Dham fair.
