A Pledge for Progress under the Blessings of Chhattisgarh Mahatari
On the historic occasion marking 25 years since the formation of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today paid floral tribute to the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahatari—the divine embodiment of the state’s cultural heritage—at the Collectorate campus in Raipur. He offered prayers for the prosperity, happiness, and holistic development of the people of the state.
Performing the traditional puja-archana in accordance with Chhattisgarh’s folk customs, the Chief Minister saluted Chhattisgarh Mahatari as a symbol of the region’s heritage, culture, womanhood, and pride. “Chhattisgarh Mahatari represents our identity, our faith, and our pride,” he said. “This sacred land venerates the power of the mother, and it is by her blessings that Chhattisgarh continues to advance on the path of progress.”
Extending greetings to citizens on State Foundation Day, CM Shri Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the all-round development of the state—improving living standards, empowering women, promoting agriculture, creating opportunities for youth, uplifting tribal communities, and preserving cultural traditions through a range of initiatives and welfare programs.
Calling the Silver Jubilee year “a symbol of renewed energy and resolve,” the Chief Minister said the day carried added significance as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in Chhattisgarh to participate in several landmark events. “With the blessings of Chhattisgarh Mahatari, our state will undoubtedly emerge among the most prosperous and leading states of India,” he declared.
MLA Purandar Mishra and several distinguished citizens and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
