Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai paid heartfelt tribute to the late Minimata, the first woman Member of Parliament from Chhattisgarh and a prominent social reformer, on her death anniversary. He said that her life was a living example of selfless service, unwavering courage, and social transformation. CM Sai noted that Minimata dedicated her entire life to protecting the rights of the underprivileged, women, Dalits, and the poor, and played a vital role in strengthening the foundations of dignity, equality, and justice in society.
Recalling her contributions in Parliament, CM Sai said that Minimata raised a strong and fearless voice against social evils such as child marriage, the dowry system, and untouchability. He added that her work in safeguarding workers’ rights, promoting women’s education, and establishing social equality is recorded as a golden chapter in history. Her simplicity, sensitivity, and spirit of service earned her a permanent place in the hearts of the people.
CM Sai further said that Minimata’s ideology is not merely a legacy of the past but a guiding light for Chhattisgarh’s present and future. He called upon everyone to draw inspiration from her ideals and actively contribute to building a strong, inclusive, and progressive Chhattisgarh, based on brotherhood, equality, and justice.
