Employment provided to 40 women under ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’
Raipur (thestates.news),Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today flagged off an environment-friendly public transport initiative—E-Auto Service—in Nava Raipur. This service has been launched in collaboration with the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority and Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission “BIHAN.”
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned that this is not merely an inauguration of a transport service but a significant initiative by the State Government to encourage financial empowerment and entrepreneurship among women.
The E-Auto service will be operated by women from self-help groups, comprising 40 members from 15 village organisations spread across 3 clusters. Covering a 130-kilometre radius, the service will connect key locations such as residential areas, offices, the railway station, the airport, and the Jungle Safari.
Launched under the ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’, this initiative marks a major step toward economic independence for 40 women. It is expected to enhance their monthly income and empower them financially. The service will become a model for local transportation in the times ahead, offering Nava Raipur residents a convenient, affordable, and pollution-free commuting option.
The event was graced by Housing and Environment Minister Shri OP Chaudhary, MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand, Secretary of the Industry Department Shri Rajat Kumar, Secretary of the Housing and Environment Department Shri Ankit Anand, CEO of NRDA Shri Saurabh Kumar, along with several senior officials and staff members.
