Since the past two years, roads are being constructed at a rapid pace in the state by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, making the lives of commuters smooth and barrier free. The progress in construction of roads has further strengthened the state’s road connectivity and has also eased in the facilitation of traffic to the villages. 4050 projects of roads and bridges construction, and repair and restoration work have been approved with a budget provision of 13 thousand 230 Crore Rs.
Additionally, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel
launched the Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Scheme on 19th June 2020, to
connect all the inaccessible Government buildings, Haat Bazaars, fair sites,
school-colleges, anganwadis, hospitals, crop storage centres, via a pucca road
to the main road. To employ the unemployed youth of the state, the state
government has implemented a scheme to register under the e-category.
Additionally, work is under progress to implement the Dharsa Development Scheme
by the Public Works Department soon. Within the scheme, the raw paths (dharsas)
of the villages will be strengthened so that the rurals and their cattle can
move freely, all around the year, with no fear of season change or monsoons.
