Jaipur, (thestates.news): A Special Court has handed over the fifth accused, Mohammad Mohsin, arrested in the Udaipur Kanhaiya Lal murder case, to the of National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody till July 12. Earlier, the court had also handed over four other accused in the murder case, Ghaus Mohammad, Riyaz, Mohsin and Asif, to NIA on police remand till July 12. Mohsin was produced by the NIA in a special court under tight security on Tuesday. In view of the seriousness of the matter, court’s presiding officer ordered the eviction of media persons and other lawyers from the courtroom and asked only the people connected with the case to be present.
An application was submitted, on behalf of the NIA, stating saying that the accused has to be questioned in detail and also to know about their international connections. Apart from this, information has to be given about who other people are involved in the case. As preliminary information, the matter of recceing the spot of the accused is coming to the fore. Therefore, he should be handed over to police custody by July 12.During the hearing, it was told by the NIA that the accused needs to be taken to many places. Therefore, he should be allowed to be handcuffed while transporting. Apart from this, he should also be allowed to be veiled. On this, special court, allowed him to be handcuffed and veiled while handed him over to the NIA in police custody till July 12.(HS)
