Cyberabad Police interact with hospital managements in view of Road Safety..

Telangana( thestates.news) : Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, V.C. Sajjanar, IPS.,  held a meeting with the management and Medical professionals from various hospitals in Cyberabad to discuss and take measures to improve emergency medical care in the “Golden Hour” to the victims of road accidents in Cyberabad limits. This was in view of improving road safety in 2020 in Cyberabad as part of the State Police Department’s goals of ensuring Road Safety in the year.

Around 120 medical professionals from more than 50 hospitals in Cyberabad took part in the discussions. In 2019, though the total number of road accidents seen a decrease, the fatalities had increased drastically and a large number of accident injured persons had died either on the way to the hospital or in the hospitals during treatment. This data pointed towards the need for proper and adequate emergency medical care to the victims of road accidents to improve the survival rate.

Quick response to the road accidents, first aid and shifting of injured to the nearby hospitals, immediate admission, and treatment at the hospitals on top priority were the major issues discussed. As per the Supreme Court’s order, every accident victim has a right to immediate emergency care post- road accident. The hospitals shall provide adequate emergency care immediately and the other legal procedures shall follow later. Cyberabad Commissioner requested all the hospitals to follow the Supreme Court’s directions in letter and spirit to preserve the lives of accident victims and assured them of all possible assistance from Police in ensuring the same.
