India and other airlines started booking for domestic flights which are
resuming on May 25.
Air India started booking at 1230 hrs.
‘Our Domestic Flight Bookings will start from 1230 hrs today. To book login to
http://airindia.in or contact authorised travel agents or visit our booking
offices or call customer care,’ said an Air India tweet.
Private airlines Vistara also announced the commencement of booking in a
statement.
At present the number of flights will be less as the government has allowed
one-third of flights to operate as compared to the earlier sanctioned summer
schedule.
Privately owned low-cost domestic airline Indigo and SpiceJet have also started
bookings.
All the airlines have appealed to the passengers to follow the guidelines
issued by the government in view of Covid-19.
The government has allowed domestic flights to commence from May 25 with
several conditions after a gap of two months.
All domestic passenger flights were closed since March 25 in view the pandemic.
Apart from reducing the number of flights, the government has also fixed the
maximum and minimum fare for each route according to the flight time.
