Give more emphasis on contact tracing: Maharashtra CS asked officials to contain COVID

Thane, (thestates.news) Maharashtra Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta emphasised on the importance of contact tracing to curtail coronavirus during his meeting with senior officers in the district and also reviewed COVID-19 situation and the various measures taken to combat it in the district.

He was appraised about the availability of the beds in the hospitals and the facility for quarantine and isolation and the proposed additional beds in the meeting held on Friday.

He was also informed about the cases of the COVID-19 in the district and city.
During the meeting, the CS emphasized the need for contact tracing in the district and he also asked the officials to increase the surveillance in the district to trace out the patients.

He wanted the implementation of contact tracing, containment zones and hospital management to be done in the right manner.

Mr. Mehta also reviewed the work of Thane Municipal Corporation against the backdrop of Corona and directed to increase contact tracing, increase the scope of containment zone and implement it strictly and pay attention to hospital management.
