Government will spend 20.40 crore rupees this year for temple maintenance in Ayodhya

New Delhi, (thestates.news): After the historic decision of the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya dispute, preparations for the construction of the temple have been started. Significantly, the Supreme Court had directed the Central Government to plan and present it within three months.

According to the latest information, the central government has decided that Rs 20.40 crore will be spent for the temple maintenance in Ayodhya. This information has been given in the first supplementary demand for grants presented by the government in the Lok Sabha.

For the year 2019-20, the central government has sought a supplementary demand for grant of 21246.16 crore (net of 18995.51). That is, it is the expenditure that has been sought in addition to this year’s budget. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Supplementary Demand for Grant (the first batch for 2019-20) in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

According to the information, a maximum portion of the extra expenditure that the government has sought has been sought for the expenditure of Rs 8,820 crore for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The government has demanded Rs 666 crore for the expenditure of the Department of Space and Rs 3,387.46 crore for the expenditure on salaries and police ration. (HS)
