Chapra,(thestates.news ) (HS): Addressing the fifth convocation ceremony at Jai Prakash University, Governor cum Chancellor Phagu Chauhan urged the successful students to imbibe the doctrine of ‘Matri Devo Bhava, Pitra Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava along with ‘Kul Devo Bhava, Samaj Devo Bhava, and Rashtra Devo Bhava.’
He expressed great satisfaction over the achievements of girl students who bagged 22 gold medals out of 34 and termed it as the empowerment of women. He said that Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan and his wife Jaya Prabha were symbols of love for nation and commitment and the youth must follow this. Underlining the importance of Saran, he said that the base of Champaran Satyagrah of Gandhi Ji was Saran.
Saran has been at the epitome in the spheres of education, culture, and spiritualism. He stressed the need for opening more educational institutions and said that government was conscious of it. He said that Jai Prakash Narayan, who belonged to this place, gave the great slogan of ‘Sampurna Kranti, based on nonviolence and truth. He urged the students to understand that only education had the capacity to sprout total revolution.
He further said that from ancient times, Bihar has been the torchbearer of education and the center of world-class universities. He said that education was not only a tool to improve oneself, but also to develop the nation. He urged the students to read about great men and their lives and get inspired. “The students should adopt entrepreneurship, hard work, leadership, and cooperation qualities to re-establish the country as Vishva Guru,” he urged.
