Previously more than Rs 33 lakh was given to various institutions
Raipur, (thestates.news)| Governor Shri Ramen Deka has approved financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand to 38 needy students of the North Eastern region studying at Indira Kala and Sangeet University Khairagarh from his discretionary grant fund. Each student will be given Rs 5,000 each from the discretionary grant fund for the academic session 2024-25.
Rs 2 lakh approved for leprosy patients
During his visit to Korba district,Governor Shri Deka has also approved financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh from his discretionary grant fund for 308 leprosy patients there.
It is noteworthy that Governor Shri Deka had earlier approved financial assistance of more than Rs. 33 lakhs for the various institutions working for disabled, orphans, elderly , tribals and TB patients.
