Governor Sushri Anusuiya Uike has approved the proposal to release 42 convicted prisoners of the state on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2023, as a result of this decision of the government on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
The prisoners to be released include two women prisoners who are above 50 years of age and have served 50 per cent of their total sentence period.
