Guest Lecture on “Role of Industrial Sector in Viksit Bharat” at Kalinga University

Raipur  (thestates.news) | The Faculty of Commerce and Management at Kalinga University, Raipur, successfully organized a Guest Lecture under the Amartya Sen Chair on “Role of Industrial Sector in Viksit Bharat” on January 31, 2025. The offline lecture focused on United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, emphasizing the critical role of industrial growth in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation.

The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Ravindra K. Brahme, General Secretary of the Indian Economic Association and Professor & Head, School of Studies in Economics, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Dr. Brahme shared his expertise on the industrial sector’s contributions to economic growth, innovation, and sustainable practices. He stressed the importance of adopting advanced industrial policies, developing infrastructure, and embracing technology to realize the vision of “Viksit Bharat.”

The event fostered active engagement, with participants interacting and exchanging ideas about the challenges and opportunities in the industrial sector. Dr. Brahme’s insights provided the attendees with a comprehensive understanding of how industrial development can drive national progress.

The lecture was coordinated by Dr. Chandra Bhooshan Singh, Chairperson of Amartya Sen, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Kalinga University, Raipur. The event was seamlessly anchored by Dr. Satvik Jain, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Kalinga University.
