Jammu,(thestates.news ) Rajesh Padogtra, Provincial President –JKNPP (Jammu) expressed his concern and anxiety for over the 200 deaths of children in the age group of 2-5 years in ten districts of Jammu province from unknown disease and predominantly in Ramnagar constituency of district Udhampur where 10 children have become victims of the unknown disease.
Padgotra expressed his indignation and wrath against the administration of J&K which claimed that adequate modern facilities were being provided to the public but contrariwise no such facilities have been provided. Further, Padgotra expressing his anxiety said, “if such modern facilities have been provided then why such a huge number of deaths of innocent have occurred.”
He said that the work of AIIMS at Vijaypur was started 5 years back but still on the ground, no work has been done, which was a matter of much concern and it was also a matter of gigantic anxiety. He said the public of Jammu was asking the reasons for deaths of 200 children.
He said that the report suggested that there was only one doctor in Medical College Jammu for the treatment of gastroenteritis. Besides, in the Endoscopy section, there was only one technician whereas in SKIMS Srinagar there were five doctors of gastroenteritis and 15 technicians of Endoscopy.
“In addition to this, there was also another discrimination in Medical College Jammu in comparison with the SKIMS Srinagar,” as observed by Padgotra. (HS):
