Raipur (thestates.news) | Kotani Village, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, November 26, 2024: The Faculty of Law at Kalinga University, in association with the Pro Bono Club of the Ministry of Law and Justice, and the NSS Unit of Kalinga University organized a grand celebration to mark 75 th Constitutional Day 2024.
The event witnessed the participation of eminent dignitaries and highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution in shaping the nation’s legal framework. The event was graced by Dr. Aruna Palta, former Vice-Chancellor of Hemchand Yadav University, Durg, Chhattisgarh, who attended as the Chief Guest of the event, and Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Associate Professor and Dean of UG Programmes at Hidayatullah National Law University, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as the Guest of Honour.
The celebration began with a warm welcome address by, Mrs. Saloni Tayagi Shrivastava, Head of the Department of Law, followed by inspiring speeches by Dr. R. Sridhar, Vice-Chancellor of Kalinga University and Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar Kalinga University and Ms. Harsha Sharma, NSS Program Officer of Kalinga University who extended her support and guidance throughout the event.
The program was skillfully organized by Dr. Anju Harbansh, Ms. Ekta Chandrakar, and Ms. Anshika Vats, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, Kalinga University. The agenda included engaging discussions on the significance of the Constitution, its relevance in modern times, and the role of legal professionals and students in upholding constitutional principles.
The session further enriched the celebration with its emphasis on legal awareness and
community engagement, reflecting the shared commitment of Kalinga University to foster legal
education and uphold justice. All participants also took a pledge of the Preamble of the
Constitution.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Harleen Kaur, Faculty of Law, leaving
attendees inspired by the insights shared and reaffirming their commitment to the Constitution of
India.
