An Experiential Learning Competition was organized under Experiential Learning Cell by Faculty of Commerce & Management on 18 th & 19 th October2021 for students of BBA 3rd Semester of the Kalinga University. The faculty in charge of the event were Ms. Shreya Shrivastava & Ms. Shriya Tripathi. Students were asked to brand the common products in the market such as mushroom, nail cutter, boot polish etc. The objective of this competition was to make students understand the importance of branding and getting them aware about the different branding tools and critical understanding of unfamous products and effectively plan its branding.
The students were asked to present a review of different advertisements and their impact on the society. They were asked to present their case before the Audience and Judges. Event was judged by Ms. Anushree Shrivastava, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Commerce and Management on criteria such as branding analysis, uniqueness, presentation and team work.
The Workshop was also attended by Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management Dr Monika Sethi Sharma and the other faculty members of the Department of Commerce & Management.Ms. Anushree Shrivastava, while declaring the result during the valedictory session said the use of experiential learning technique in teaching pedagogy helps to absorb the concepts of marketing more easily and develops their application in real life business environments.
