Raipur (thestates.news) | Kalinga University Successfully conducted Science Working Model Competition 3.0 on Saturday, 7 December 2024 at campus. Large number of students from different schools took part in the competition with great enthusiasm and were awarded with certificates. Over 500 students from more than 65 schools took part in the event and presented 150 models. Over 400 students visited the exhibition at the campus.
Swami Atmanand Government English Medium School (SAGES) Mohoba Bazar, Raipur students won first prize of Rs. 10,000 for presenting model on Women’s Safety Shoes. Second prize of Rs. 7500 on
by Adhyayan Academy Higher Secondary School, Raipur for Plastic Bricks. Davara International School Abhanpur won third prize of Rs 5000 as award for Preventing Fan Suicide cases model. All the winners were given mementoes, certificates and Diary as gift.
Five Consolation prizes of Rs. 2500 each were given to the participants- Davara International School Abhanpur for Smart Head Light Detector model, KV Naya Raipur for Tsunami Detector System, Krishna Public School, Naya Raipur for making model based on Earthquake Alarm, Delhi World Public School, Raipur students for Eco Flow Nature model and Bharatmata Senior Secondary School Naya Raipur. A memento and diaries were also given along with certificates to them.
Special Honour was given to Learners English Medium School, Raipur for Guardian Stick and Brighton International School, Raipur for making Talking Stick. All the participants were given certificates of participation. Students enjoyed the event very much and they actively took part in quiz competitions organised on the spot.

Mr Raja Mukherjee, Sr. Physics and Maths Faculty and Cambridge Exam Officer of Cambridge Wing of NH Goel World School, Dr R Jayakumar, Dean Faculty of Science of Kalinga University, Dr Shilpi Srivastava, HoD Department of Chemistry, Dr Sushma Dubey, HoD Department of Biotechnology and Dr Aloke Verma, HoD Department of Physics, Kalinga University.

The event was organised by the Marketing Department of Kalinga University, Led by Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Director Marketing, Supported by Mrs. Sonam Dubey, Ms. Neha Chawla and Ms. Shabnan Sheikh. This was the 3rd Season of Science Working Model Competition held at the Campus of Kalinga University, Raipur.
