Kalinga University organized a Debate competition “Technology Enhances Education more than it distracts students”

Raipur, The Faculty of Education department recently organized a Debate Competition on “Technology Enhances Education more than it distracts students” at the University campus. The purpose of organizing this competition was to develop rational thinking, expression skills and creative views among the students while expressing their thoughts and opinions.

The program was well organized under the guidance of Dr. Harsha Sharma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education. Students from various departments of Kalinga University and other institutions include Amity University presented their views effectively and conducted a thorough discussion on the subject.

Exhibiting excellent performance in the competition, Ms. Pratha Patel, student of Bachelor of Arts, bagged the first prize and Ms. Anushka Barnwal – B.Sc. Forensic Science secured the second place. Their logical reasoning, research-oriented approach, and precise presentation impressed the judging panel.

The competition was evaluated by honorable judges – Prof. Dr. Azim Khan – Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. A. Rajasekhar, Faculty of Arts & Humanities. They emphasized that if technology is used in the right manner and under the guidance of teachers, it can be extremely beneficial for students.

Dr. Shraddha Verma, Dean of the Faculty of Education, congratulated the winners and all participants, emphasizing the balance of innovation and attentiveness in the learning process.

The event was attended by Dr. D. Kalidoss, Director-Sports, Dr. Sanjeev Yadav – Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, Dr. Saroj Nayyar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, Dr. Lubhawani Tripathi – Associate Professor, Faculty of Education and other faculty members.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the enthusiastic participation of the students and the faculty members.
