Kalinga University Organized Guest Lecture on “How to Start a Business (Start-up and Bootstrapped)?”

University, in collaboration with the Marketing Club – Marcadeo, successfully organised an inspiring Guest Lecture on “How to Start a Business (Start-up and Bootstrapped)?” The session aimed to unlock the entrepreneurial potential among students and encourage them to take the first step toward creating their own ventures.

The event was graced by Ms. Srishti Tanwani, Co-Founder and CEO of Indo Era, as the distinguished resource person. Indo Era is a global fashion brand offering trendy Ethnic suits, Kurta Sets, kurtas, dresses & Indo-western wear on a user-friendly online platform, based in Surat (India). Founded in 2018 by Mr. Dipak Sheta, Mr. Ambrish Miyani and Ms. Srishti Tanwani. 

Ms. Srishti Tanwani shared her entrepreneurial journey and valuable insights on establishing and sustaining a start-up through innovative thinking, self-reliance, and strategic planning. She emphasized that “Every big business starts small — the secret lies in starting smart,” motivating students to take calculated risks and transform their ideas into successful enterprises.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, reflecting a strong interest in entrepreneurship and innovation. It provided a valuable platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to interact with a successful business leader and gain practical knowledge on bootstrapping a start-up.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Nishtha Sharma, Assistant Professor. Dr. Deepti Patnaik Assistant Professor, expressed gratitude to the resource persons for their valuable contributions and the attendees. She further emphasized that Kalinga University remains committed to organizing such impactful initiatives to enhance the entrepreneurial prospects of students.
