Kalinga University Organizes Educational Visit to Tribal Museum, Naya

Raipur (thestates.news)| The Faculty of Education, Kalinga University, Raipur, organized an enriching educational visit to the Tribal Museum, Naya Raipur on 30 th May 2025. Thisinitiative was aimed at promoting experiential and interdisciplinary learning among B.Ed. and M.A. (Education) students, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the integration of cultural heritage and local knowledge systems into the teaching-learning process.

The Tribal Museum, renowned for its vibrant portrayal of the life, art, traditions, and customs of the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, provided an excellent platform for students to engage with indigenous knowledge systems and explore the educational significance of tribal history and culture.

The visit was organized under the leadership of Dr. Shraddha Verma, Dean, Faculty of Education, and coordinated by Dr. Saroj Nayyar – Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, along with the support of other faculty members including Dr. Kalidoss– Director Sports and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav–Assistant Professor and Sports Officer, Dr. Lubhawani Tripathi – Associate Professor and Dr. Harsha Sharma – Assistant Professor, Faculties of Education.

During the visit, the faculty facilitated interactive discussions, reflective observations, and documentation activities to help students draw meaningful educational insights from the museum exhibits. The experience not only enhanced cultural awareness but also supported inclusive pedagogical practices among future educators. Such field-based learning initiatives reaffirm Kalinga University’s commitment to holistic and contextually relevant teacher education.
