Kalinga University Organizes Free Eye and Dental Check-up Camp in Collaboration with City Eye Care Hospital

Raipur (thestates.news) | Kalinga University Naya Raipur, in association with City Eye Care Hospital, successfully organized a free eye and dental checkup camp on Tuesday for its students, faculty members and staff.
The camp, held at in the University campus, was inaugurated by Dr. Atish Sahu, Dental Consultant, in the presence of Dr. Manish Shrivastava, Senior Ophthalmologist, Dr. Mohammed Shaharyar Khan,
Lt. Vibha Chandrakar, Incharge Dean of Students’ Welfare, Dr. A. Vijayananad, Chief Proctor, Ms.
Suman Chouhan, Staff Nurse, Mr. Kuldeep Banjare, staff nurse, Mr. Sheikh Abdul Kadir, Deputy
Dean of Students’ Welfare, Ms. Nikita Joshi, Assistant Dean of Students’ Welfare, Ms Ayushi
Kuchanwar and other distinguished guests.
A total of 278 participants registered for the camp, with 190 successfully completing their eye and dental checkups. The event saw active participation from students, including international students, highlighting the diverse and inclusive environment at Kalinga University.
The camp commenced at 10:30 am and continued until 5:00 pm, providing comprehensive eye tests
conducted by the team from City Eye Care Hospital under the expert guidance of Dr. Manish Shrivastava. Attendees were also provided with free eye drops as part of the initiative.
Dr. Shrivastava emphasized the importance of reducing screen time for better eye health and shared valuable eye exercises aimed at reducing stress. The participants, including students and faculty members, expressed their gratitude and satisfaction for the opportunity to receive these essential health services on campus. Lt. Vibha Chandrakar, Incharge Dean of Students’ Welfare, and Dr. A. Vijayananad, Chief Proctor, expressed their appreciation for the collaborative effort and underscored the university’s commitment to the well-being of its community. A memento was presented to Dr Shrivastava by Dr A Vijayanand.
