Raipur (thestates.news) |Students from Kalinga University showcased a remarkable cultural performance at the Foundation Day Programme held at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Chhattisgarh, as part of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”. The University was invited to represent the vibrant culture of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the prestigious celebration graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh Shri Ramen Deka.

Representing Kalinga University at the event, Dr. Harsha Sharma (NSS Programme Officer) and Ms. Muskan Agrawal (Assistant DSW) coordinated the university’s participation and extended warm greetings to all dignitaries, guests, and attendees.
The highlight of the programme was the traditional Nicobarese folk dance, performed gracefully by students dressed in authentic ethnic costumes. The performance beautifully showcased the cultural identity of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, symbolizing unity, community harmony, respect for nature, and the strong traditional roots of the island tribes. With rhythmic beats, synchronized movements, and colourful attire, the students brought the rich cultural heritage of the islands alive on stage.
The dignitaries at Raj Bhavan appreciated the students’ outstanding performance and remarked that such cultural exchanges play a vital role in encouraging diversity, inclusion, and national integration. They also praised Kalinga University for its consistent efforts in promoting cultural awareness among youth.
