New Delhi (thestates.news)| : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued a statement on Monday saying that Kashmiri Pandits should get their due. He said that the central government should make efforts to resettle them in Kashmir and provide a safe environment. Kejriwal said that even today, Kashmiri Pandits are not safe in Kashmir. Recently, a government employee, Rahul Bhatt, was murdered there. The Delhi Chief Minister said that such violence should stop and Kashmiri Pandits should be provided a harmonious environment there.
Kejriwal warned that the terrorists and enemies of the country should understand that the country would not tolerate it if Kashmiris harboured ill-will towards Pandits. He said that Kashmiri Pandits are afraid due to the murder of Rahul Bhatt. Kejriwal targeted the central government and said that in such a situation, the central government needs to take special care of their safety. The Bharatiya Janata Party accused Aam Aadmi Party Chief Kejriwal of humiliating Kashmiri Pandits. has been continuously demanding that the Delhi Chief Minister apologise for his statement where he mocked Kashmiri Pandits in the assembly. However, Kejriwal had said in his statement that he was laughing at the BJP and not the Kashmiri Pandits.(HS)
