Guptkashi, (thestates.news): With the onset of monsoon, Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has changed the timing of opening and closing of the portals of Kedarnath temple. Time of darshan for common devotees has also been reduced by four hours. The committee said that earlier, where devotees were having darshan of Baba Kedarnath from 4am till 11pm will now get to visit the Kedarnath temple from 5am to 9pm. Temple will be closed after the evening aarti and Shringar Darshan.On May 6, Kapat of Baba Kedarnath were opened for the common devotees. Within 60 days, the number of visitors has reached 8,56,721 in Dham.The numbers of devotees dropped as the monsoon season begun. Despite this, about 5-6,000 pilgrims are still reaching the Dham every day.According to the temple committee officials, for the last ten days, the rush of pilgrims in the Kedarnath temple premises since morning is ending by 3 pm. BKTC President Ajendra Ajay said that keeping in mind the decreasing number of passengers, timing of opening of Kapat and darshan has been changed.(HS)
