Mallikarjun Kharge lauds Cong governance in Telangana, urges discipline and unity among party cadre

Hyderabad,(thestates.news)| AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge lauded the Congress government’s governance in Telangana and urged party cadre to maintain discipline and unity. Addressing the TPCC Extended Executive Meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan today, Kharge commended the Congress government in Telangana for its sincere efforts in implementing its manifesto promises and steering the state in the right direction.

He praised the commitment of the government and party workers, stating that the Congress is proving itself to be the only party that truly delivers on its promises. Kharge asserted that history will remember the Congress as a party that honoured its word to the people. He expressed satisfaction with the governance in Telangana and appreciated the energy and performance of party workers across the state.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Kharge said, “They keep talking about the Emergency from 50 years ago but are conveniently silent on the ‘emergency-like’ atmosphere created during their 11 years in power.” He accused the BJP of attempting to deflect attention from the real issues affecting the country today. The AICC president also emphasised the importance of responsibility and discipline within the party. He urged TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud to ensure that only dedicated and capable leaders are given key responsibilities. “Those who are entrusted with positions by the party must work diligently and responsibly,” Kharge said.

He also called for unity and discipline, cautioning leaders against making unauthorised public statements. “No one should speak out of turn. Everyone must follow the party line and maintain internal cohesion,” he stressed. Kharge’s address comes at a time when the Congress in Telangana is consolidating its position following its recent electoral success and preparing for upcoming local body polls with a renewed focus on organisation and accountability.

The meeting was attended by senior Congress leaders, including AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, AICC In-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Uttam Kumar Reddy, AICC Secretary Vishwanathan, and others. (UNI)
