Mr. Baghel requests states to send their best tribal dance troupes to the dance festival

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel invites Chief Ministers of various states to attend ‘National Tribal Dance Festival

Raipur (thestates.news)Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has invited Chief Ministers of various states to attend National Tribal Dance Festival to be organized in December month in capital city Raipur. Chief Minister has sent invitation letters to the Chief Ministers of other states.
Mr. Baghel has stated in the letter that on December 27,28 and 29, 2019, National Tribal Dance Festival will be organized for the first time in capital city Raipur. Tribal dance troupes from various states and union territories of the country have been invited to perform  in this dance festival. International artists from neighbouring countries have also been invited. Mr. Baghel has requested Chief Ministers of various states to send their best tribal dance troupe to the dance festival and also to mark their esteemed presence in the event.
Chief Minister stated various specialities of Chhattisgarh in the letter. He mentioned that tribal-populated Chhattisgarh state is home to vibrant tribal culture and is blessed with invaluable gifts of nature. Chhattisgarh is not only abundant in natural resources and biodiversity but also rich in terms of cultural heritage.
About sacred rivers of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Baghel stated that the state is blessed with rivers such as Mahanadi, Shivnath, Hasdeo, Arpa, Kelo, Ren, Mahan, Indravati, Shabri. The state is known as ‘bowl of rice’ and is also recognized for good yield of pulses and oilseeds. Nature has blessed Chhattisgarh with abundant mineral resources including iron, coal, limestone, aluminum, tin and others. The state has a sacred path where Lord Ram had once walked on, and it is also known for the sacred land of Mata Kaushalya. Archaeological sites such as Sirpur, Rajim, Shivrinarayan, Kharaud, Dantewada, Barsoor, Dipadih, Maheshpur, Bhoramdev situated in Chhattisgarh hold special significane in the Indian history of artforms. Chhattisgarh is the birthplace of Baba Guru Ghasidas, Veer Narayan Singh. Peoplel of the state are deeply inspired by teachings of Sant Kabeer Sahab. Dance forms such as Karma, Sua, Gaur, Kaksad, Saila, Sarhul constitute another dimension of Chhattisgarh’s tribal culture. Chhattisgarh State has begun the journey to set new milestones of development with the vision of ‘Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh’.
