All the government buildings and public places of the state to be connected with all-weather roads
Nearly 1116 works to be done at the cost of Rs 200 crore this year
Raipur (thestates.news) Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana at his residence office today. All the government buildings, public places, government schools, hospitals, colleges, aanganbadi buildings, fair price shops and educational institutions, which were not connected to main roads earlier, will be connected via cemented all-weather roads. On the occasion, Home and PWD Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu were also present.
CM said in his address to the inaugural programme that today is an important day, as it is the birth anniversary of Rahul Gandhi, but in the memory of Jawans who got martyred at Indo-China border, we will dedicate this entire day to service work. All our party workers are distributing masks to common people and fruits to patients.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that State Government has launched Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana to save people from inconvenience caused due to unavailability of cemented all-weather roads to important public places such as haat bazars, fair venue, paddy procurement centers, cemetries etc. Under the scheme, PWD will build roads on priority basis, making it convenient for students, farmers and villagers to reach government buildings, educational institution and other publlic places.
Under this scheme, 1116 road construction works will be executed by PWD at the cost of Rs 200 crore. On the occasion, Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal, Additiona Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahu, PWD Secretary Mr. Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi, Chief Engineer PWD Mr. VK Bhatpahri, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi, Deputy Secretary of Chief Minister’s Secretariat Ms Saumya Chaurasiya and other senior officials were also present.
