Inauguration and Foundation-Laying of Works Worth Over Rs 361 Crore
Raipur (thestates.news) | The two-day visit of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to Narayanpur district on January 30 and 31 is set to usher in a new momentum of development across the region, including the Abujhmad area. During his stay, Chief Minister Shri Sai will inaugurate and lay foundation for completed and proposed development works amounting to over Rs 361 crore. These development works, spanning roads, infrastructure, public amenities and social welfare, are aimed at strengthening the reach of development to the district’s most remote areas.
Interaction with Padma Shri Awardees and Community Leaders
On January 30, Chief Minister Shri Sai will arrive by helicopter at the Tehsil helipad at 1 pm. From there, he will proceed to Garhbengal Ghotul, where he will meet Padma Shri awardees Shri Hemchand Manjhi and Shri Pandiram Mandavi, along with Shri Butlur Ram Matra and other prominent community leaders. This interaction is being viewed as a significant step towards honouring tribal culture, social participation and traditional values.
Chief Minister to Travel to Kurushnar by Bus Service
A special highlight of the visit will be the Chief Minister Bus Service (Mukhyamantri Bus Seva), launched on the Chief Minister’s initiative. Shri Sai will travel by this bus to Gram Kurushnar, symbolizing the government’s commitment to connecting villages with mainstream development. At Kurushnar, he will inspect a PDS shop, interact with school children, and distribute financial assistance to beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The visit will serve as a live assessment of government schemes at the grassroots level and reinforce direct engagement with citizens.
Boating at Shaant Sarovar, Participation in Bikers’ Event
From Kurushnar, Chief Minister Shri Sai will proceed to Shaant Sarovar (Bijli), where he will inaugurate boating and kayaking facilities. He will also participate in a bikers’ event, conveying a strong message of promoting tourism and encouraging youth-centric activities in the region.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister will reach Narayanpur High School, where a major programme has been scheduled. The event will include inauguration and foundation-laying of development works, the district-level Bastar Pandum celebration, signing of contracts for various projects, distribution of materials to beneficiaries, a Mallakhamb performance, the Chief Minister’s address, and a drone show.
Meeting with ITBP Personnel, Participation in Community Dinner
In the evening, Shri Sai will visit the ITBP Battalion at Jailbadi Ganraji, where he will interact with the jawans and join them for dinner. Later, he will hold discussions with public representatives at the rest house. Chief Minister will stay overnight in Narayanpur.
January 31: Flag-Off of Peace Half Marathon
On January 31, at 6 am, Chief Minister Shri Sai will participate in the Zumba programme under the Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon, followed by flagging off the marathon at 6.30 am. After the event, he will visit the Ramakrishna Ashram, have breakfast with the children, and then depart for Raipur from the High School Ground helipad.
