Hyderabad, (thestates.news)| The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials detained two persons from Armur in Nizamabad district in Telengana on Sunday night on suspicion of terror activities.According to sources in the investigating agency, suspicious transactions have been found in the bank accounts of both the accused. NIA team carried out a search operation at Ziarat Nagar in Armur on Sunday evening and detained two persons. Preliminary investigation revealed that money was transferred from abroad in their bank accounts.
Both the detained suspects have been shifted to Hyderabad for further investigation. NIA officials have carried out search operations in several parts of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra besides Telangana, and some suspects have been detained as part of the investigation on the subject. NIA conducted raids in four districts of Gujarat on Sunday. The NIA said raids were conducted in Bharuch, Surat, Navsari and Ahmedabad districts of the state and incriminating documents and material were recovered during the operation. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) said three persons were being questioned. NIA said that besides Gujarat, raids are being conducted in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and other states.(HS):
