National Road Safety Short Film Festival will commence on January 24

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai will inaugurate the two-day National Road Safety Short Film Festival in Raipur on January 24, 2024, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium located in the Raipur’s Medical College. Road safety exhibitions and ‘Nukkad Natak’ will also be organized on this occasion.

The National Road Safety Short Film Festival is a key segment in the ongoing National Road Safety Month 2024, contributing to public awareness about road safety and smooth traffic. The festival’s first session will showcase 44 selected short films out of 460 entries in various languages received nationwide. These short films will be showcased from 10 am. At 11:30 am, the “Stay Fit with Me Group” will showcase a ‘Nukkad Natak’ focusing on road safety. The program will also include an exhibition on road safety, a traffic guide release, and the distribution of prizes to the shortlisted film festival winners. The second session will showcase short films based on the theme of road safety at 4 pm on January 24.

The third session of the event will be organised on January 25 from 10 am, which will showcase specially selected short films for the general public. The Inter-departmental Lead Agency (Road Safety) Chhattisgarh, the Transport Department, and Chhattisgarh Police have encouraged widespread public participation in this program for promoting road safety among citizens.

The National Road Safety Short Film Festival received entries from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab, Assam, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Delhi, Orissa, and different regions of Chhattisgarh. Notably, the festival accepted submissions in two categories: (1) Chhattisgarhi language and (2) Other Indian languages. Subtitles in Hindi are mandatory for all entries.
