Raipur ( thestates.news) Nearly 36 lakh 34 thousand 508 metric tons of paddy has been procured from farmers of the state in kharif marketing year 2019-20 till date. Custom milling of nearly 14 lakh 29 thousand 686 metric tons of paddy has been done in the paddy procurement centers. DO for transportation of 16 lakh 67 thousand 143 metric tons of paddy has been issued to the registered millers. Food Department Secretary Dr Kamalpreet Singh has given instructions to officials for pacing up the process of custom milling.
In Chhattisgarh, custom milling of 14,543 metric tons of paddy has been done in Bastar district, 36 thousand metric tons in Bijapur district, 262 metric tons in Dantewada district, 39,682 metric tons of Kanker district, 970 metric tons in Narayanpur district, 1476 metric tons of paddy in Sukma district, 1 lakh 57 thousand 809 metric tons of paddy in Janjgir Champa district, 18, 684 metric tons in Korba district, 40,857 metric tons in Mungeli district, one lakh 36 thousand 489 metric tons of Raigarh district, 52, 089 metric tons of Balod district, 39,599 metric tons of Bemetara district, and 86 thousand 556 metric tons of paddy in Durg district has been done. Similarly, custom milling of 24,933 metric tons of paddy has been done in Kabeerdham district, 68 thousand 946 tons of paddy in Rajnandgaon district, 54,989 metric tons in Balodabazar district, 95 thousand 813 metric tons in Dhamtari district, 30,902 metric tons in Gariaband district, 1 lakh 51 thousand 688 metric tons in Balrampur district, 1 lakh metric tons of 58 thousand 883 metric tons in Raipur district, 22,699 metric tons in Balrampur district, 18 thousand 990 metric tons in Jashpur district, 19,469 metric tons in Koriya district, 33,878 metric tons in Sarguja district, and 30 thousand 542 metric tons of paddy has been transported from procurement centers by the millers for custom milling.
