Raipur (thestates.news) | The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur organized a Swachhata Pledge Ceremony today, reaffirming the institute community’s commitment to cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Dr. (Mrs.) A.B. Soni, Director (I/c), administered the Swachhata Pledge to all faculty members, staff, and students present at the event.
The ceremony began with a brief address emphasizing the significance of the Swachh Bharat Mission and its alignment with the vision of Mahatma Gandhi, whose 156th birth anniversary is being commemorated this year. Participants highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness not only within institutional premises but also in their neighborhoods and communities.
During the event, all attendees collectively took the pledge, vowing to uphold the ideals of a clean and healthy environment. The programme reinforced a sense of civic responsibility among participants and encouraged active contribution toward building a cleaner, healthier, and more developed India.
