Nitish Kumar welcomes assistance for Bihar announced in union budget

Patna, (Thestates.news)| Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday welcomed the announcement of assistance to Bihar in union budget presented in parliament. Kumar while making a post on his social media account X, expressed his satisfaction over a number of projects announced for Bihar in the union budget presented in parliament. Due care had been taken into account of requirements of Bihar, he noted.

” Projects on road connectivity, electrifications, medical colleges and linking of Kosi-Mechi river have been announced in union budget”, Chief Minister said adding that special assistance had also been proposed for irrigation projects and tourism. It was good to note that so much assistance for Bihar had been announced in union budget, he felt.

Kumar expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the assistance to Bihar, proposed in the general budget for fiscal 2024-25. He thanked both PM Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman for their positive gesture towards Bihar. He exuded his confidence that the Centre would continue to extend similar support to Bihar in the future for development. (UNI)
