This is the reason that in the first cabinet meeting of the state government, housing was approved for 18 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Jhool Singh and his wife Phulkunwar, who have been living their lives with difficulties in kutcha houses by working as laborers in the village, did not think that they would ever be able to build a permanent house.
