Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, (Thestates.news) | Targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his recent statement against NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar, he said that the person who was sacked by the Supreme Court is today the home minister of the country. Pawar was speaking last night in the auditorium of Haj House in the city on the occasion of the publication the book Padmashree Sharad Pawar: The Great Enigma,” written by Sheshrao Chavan and translated into Urdu by Dr. Magdoom Farooqui.
It may be noted that Union Home Minister Shah’s attack on NCP (NCP-SP) chief Sharad Pawar is gaining momentum. Amidst all the allegations and counter-allegations, Sharad Pawar himself has now targeted Amit Shah.
Pawar said that it is strange that the person who was expelled from Gujarat by the Supreme Court is leading such an important ministry. Shah was deported from the state for two years in 2010 in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. He was later acquitted in this case in 2014. Pawar said, ‘Those who have power in their hands have not changed their thinking. We all should be careful; otherwise, the country can move in the wrong direction.’
Pawar further said that Shah was the Home Minister of Gujarat at that time. He misused the law. The Supreme Court had ordered him to be deported from Gujarat to maintain law and order in the state. That person has now become the Home Minister of the country and is making such statements with the responsibility of protecting the country.
Referring to the speech of NCP leader Rajesh Tope in the programme, Pawar said jokingly, ‘Tope said that he entered politics by holding my finger. I do not trust his statement because Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said the same. I trust my finger.’In the one-day BJP conference held in Pune, Union Home Minister Shah termed Sharad Pawar the biggest kingpin of corruption. He accused Pawar of creating institutions of corruption.
