PM Shri Narendra Modi to Transfer DBT Funds to 9.32 Crore Farmers Nationwide
More than 24.71 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh to receive Rs 498.83 crore via DBT
Raipur (thestates.news) | Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will release the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi on March 13 during a programme in Guwahati. Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), about Rs 18,650 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of nearly 9.32 crore farmers across the country.
From this amount, RS 498.83 crore will be transferred to 24,71,498 farmers in Chhattisgarh. The beneficiaries in the state include 2.92 lakh forest rights ‘patta’ holders and 37,400 farmers from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Farmers and public representatives from across the state will join the national event through video conferencing from Swami Vivekananda Agricultural College in Raipur.
