New Delhi (thestates.news) PM Narendra Modi on
Tuesday paid rich tributes to the iconic freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai on his
birth anniversary.
“Salute to the brave son of mother India, Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai on
his birth anniversary. His sacrifice for the independence of the country will
always inspire the countrymen,” the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter in
Hindi.
Popularly called ‘Punjab Kesari’, he was one third of the Lal Bal Pal
triumvirate along with Bal Gangadhar Tilak and legendary Bipin Chandra Pal.
Born on January 28, 1865, Lala Lajpat Rai breathed his last on November 17,
