Raipur (thestates.news) | On the occasion of World Post Day and National Postal Week, the Chhattisgarh Postal Circle organized a series of programmes across the state, highlighting the digital and people-oriented transformation of postal services. The department informed that activities were organized every day based on specific themes throughout the week, aimed at connecting the public with the modern services and schemes of the Postal Department.
On Technology Day, quiz competitions were conducted based on the advanced technologies used in the postal system. Under Financial Inclusion Day, information about various schemes such as Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) was disseminated among citizens. On Philately and Citizen-Centric Service Day, letter-writing competitions were held in schools, along with Aadhaar enrollment camps.

Speaking to the media, Shri Dinesh Kumar Mistry, Director, Postal Services, Chhattisgarh Circle, said, “The Postal Week celebrations were highly successful across the state. We organized specific activities for each day, through which people were made aware of various schemes of India Post and India Post Payments Bank. Our main focus is on digital transformation. In this direction, we have implemented IT 2.0 (Advanced Postal Technology), which will further accelerate the pace of nationwide digital transformation. Under this initiative, new post offices are being established in rural areas, server quality is being improved, and the booking and delivery process of postal materials has been made faster so that the citizens of Chhattisgarh can avail themselves of more modern and efficient services.”

During the press conference held on this occasion, Shri N. K. Rajpal, Assistant Director (Business Development), delivered the welcome address. The event was attended by Shri H. K. Mahawar, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Raipur Division; Shri Saurabh Asati, Assistant Director (Staff); Shri Alok Gomasta, Assistant Director (Mail); and other senior officers. The programme was conducted by Shri Shivam Tiwari, Inspector under the Assistant Director (Business Development).
