President Smt Droupadi Murmu lauds ‘Jashcraft’ and skills of tribal women power of Jashpur

Raipur (thestates.news) | President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu lauded the work, skills and self-reliance of tribal women associated with self-help groups from Jashpur district during the inter-state folk cultural congregation ‘Kartika Jatra’ held at Gumla in Jharkhand. She specially appreciated the efforts of women associated with ‘Jashcraft’, stating that the jewellery and eco-friendly products made by them are strong examples of women empowerment.

President Smt Droupadi Murmu described the products made by women of the self-help group of Van Prabandhan Samiti Shabdmunda, village Kotanpani under the Jashpur Forest Division, as inspiring symbols of tribal creativity, self-reliance and cultural preservation. She said such efforts not only enhance livelihood opportunities but also give new recognition to traditional art and handicrafts.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the appreciation of the skills and self-reliance of Jashpur’s tribal women power, especially sisters associated with ‘Jashcraft’, is a matter of pride for the entire state of Chhattisgarh. He said the jewellery and eco-friendly products prepared by the self-help group members of village Kotanpani are living symbols of the state’s rich cultural heritage and the hard work and creativity of women.

The Chief Minister said that this affectionate encouragement and blessings from the President will further strengthen the confidence of tribal women power, the resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the spirit of “Vocal for Local”. On behalf of all tribal sisters of Jashpur, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Smt Droupadi Murmu.
