Action Taken Over Irregularities in Purchases Made Through the GeM Portal
Raipur (thestates.news) |The Higher Education Department has suspended the principal and three faculty members of Rajiv Lochan Postgraduate College, Rajim with immediate effect following the detection of irregularities in the procurement of materials through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. Orders to this effect have been issued by the Higher Education Department from Mahanadi Bhawan, Raipur.
According to the order, Principal Dr. Savita Mishra, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohan Lal Verma, Assistant Professor Mr Devendra Dewangan, and Assistant Professor Ms. Manisha Bhoi were found prima facie involved in financial irregularities in the procurement of materials through the GeM portal. The purchases made by them did not comply with the Chhattisgarh Store Purchase Rules.
Under civil service rules, the principal and assistant professors of Rajiv Lochan Postgraduate College, Rajim have been placed under immediate suspension, and their headquarters during the suspension period has been designated as the Office of the Regional Additional Director, Raipur.
